How much bigger should my puppy get?
I just adopted a border-collie mix but she doesn’t look alot like other border collie puppies. We aren’t sure what else is in her but she is 3 months old. Her brother was about double her size and was the same age… Her paws and head aren’t that big but how much bigger should she get if she was the runt?

This would be a better question for the vet…. It’s hard to tell when the pups are mixed.

Seeing as there is no standard for a mixed breed it’s impossible to say. She may favor the size of a BC or the dog she is mixed with or somehwere in between.
Just because they are the runt at birth they may end up being the same size or even bigger than the other litter mates. Time will tell.
Congrats on the new puppy.

Being the runt doesn’t necessarily mean they will stay smaller.
Look at the breed standard for her parents (if you know what they are), and that will give you an idea of what to expect.

if he is definatly a border collie (not a cross or a mix) then its possible that the people at the adoption place got his age wrong.

Pups in the same litter can all have different fathers, so the variation in size can be huge. For a small breed final size, double the weight at 16 weeks. For a large breed dog, double the weight at 20 weeks

Being a border-collie mix, she’ll probably be around 50 pounds. For a more specific answer for your puppy, ask your vet. They can usually get a good feel for how big the dog will be by looking at the size of their paws.
